So my brother and his girlfriend gifted me a duck egg. I've never tried duck eggs before. Cue my excited squeal! I kept it for a day then decided...today's the day!
As you can see I used it atop a bowl of blue corn "grits" flavored with maple syrup. So what did I think?
It was flavorful, and well...rich! The yolk I kept over easy. It didn't quite have the buttery taste of the quail. I cant wait to try them in baking!
